They couldn't try to hack or scerw around at the new place? Kick ass ;D They could try. Because there is not a third party, they would pretty much be complaining to me in any attempt to get us shut down. I don't think that would be all that effective. Hacking the site would be illegal, so they would be attempting such an action at their own risk. Obviously, since it could easily be narrowed down to a couple of individuals, and we knw who they are, it wouldn't be a smart move.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on where this project stands. We are slowly but surely making progress. There have been some hold-ups along the way due to compatibility issues, which are in the process of being resolved.
I have taken the additional step of putting the message board portion of the site as its own subdomain. This way, there is less chance of a problem occuring with the board during updates and additions to the site.
Of course, this all takes time (longer than I had hoped), but I believe we are now entering the home stretch. I am hoping the end result wiil justify the effort.
One cool thing we will be able to do is have recent posts from a respective topic appear on an appropriate page within the site itself. For instance, If we have a page dedicated to the Friday the 13th series, we can have the most recent discussion topics from the message bard appear on the bottom of the page, very similar to the way IMDB does.
It appears that featrues are nearly limitless. Avatars, signatures, and custom smilies can all be added. There may also be the possibility of live chat.
I will continue the updates as needed.

sounds good Foo! Thanx for all the efforts. I'd be more than happy to help you in anyway possible...
I still have my shoutbox account, if you want to add that to the site itself, instead of part of the forum. That way it can be a quick place to post up a few messages if you don't feel like stopping by the forum.

Help Wanted!
I need someone to design and implement a color scheme for our new board. HTML experience is needed to understand the incredible complexity of this simple task.

I'm not really too experienced with using HTML. But I know that you can find the color codes easily if you do a quick search on google. The rest is just finding out the coding for each part of the site...

Accually, not really as of now. Maybe if you ask me that same question later. Like I said, I'm not to experienced with the HTML...
But I feel bad, since I did say I would help in anyway possible...
Hmmmm. I'll have to think about it....

We are up and running. Though it is not a finished project yet, the board is ready for business and I would really like everyone's input on how to make it the best board we have had yet.
The new board will finally be ours and ours alone. No third party will be able to shut it down.

Yes, go ahead and register. The only changes will be additions. The site will be permanent, although hopefully it will continue to evolve.
