Well he's back online and.... its unlikely he'll come over here he's kind of put off by what happened to other board... it stinks hopefully he'll change his mind. i'll miss him!

Yea, I put too much time and effort into the other board for it just to be taken away. It's too painful to start all over again.
But for what it's worth, I'll still stop by here once and a while and see how everyones doing...
I noticed that no one got a direct answer out of proboards yet as to why the site was shut down.
Maybe if you could get a response out of that Craig fellow...
Anyway, i'll be around...

Sharp, I hope you reconsider. I understand your reluctants to get involved with this site after all of the hard work you put into the last one, and I completely understand if you don't want to become a member here. We'll miss you man, and don't be a stranger.

I think everyone recognizes the effort you put in. I have gotten a little more aggressive in an attempt to at least find out what happened to the board. It is pretty obvious that being patient was not working. |

Sharp, this is definitely only temporary. We're basically trying to get as many people as we can before we make our big move to whatever the new site may be. We're going as far away from proboards as humanly possible.

I think it looks great.  does anyone else think this may be our new home? although i just very very briefly browsed over it but it looks like the biggest avatars we can have is 90x90. also, it looked like there's no pics in the sig lines. but i think it looks pretty good. i don't know anything about the terms of service though. i think i've seen some bands who use this service for their message boards too. maybe portishead was one of them..... hmmm.... |

we could build up a great community again damnit! we got a core of about 10-15 of us and thats a great start. its better than most start with. i joined a pretty cool forum shortly before our last was shut down and I can most likely get another 5 people or more. and their great people too. in fact, i got one of the dudes to join before we got shut down and another guy was emailing me asking what happened to the board so he was probably about to join.

Awww Sharp, I was really hoping you would be one of the front runners in getting our new board going. I hope you reconsider, buddy. Everyone appreciated all the hard work you put into the old one. ;D

I'll be around. I'm just not comfortable with being gone for a week (while my computer was being serviced) and then coming back to find that the board has been erased.

Yeah I understand where you are coming from. I posted the last day it was up apparently and come back after being gone for 3, 4 days and poof! Gone.
