Ben Affleck is nothing w/o Smith, right?

i think he was joking around. we dont know his tone when saying that..hell we dont even know if kevin smith was even in the room while saying that. they are good friends i dont think they would trash each other l ike that.

and armageddon and good will hunting were waht started his career. not smith films. smith films were hardly recognized at the time. people started knowing who affleck was when he won his first oscar with damon for good will hunting. then he got well known from there. people started realizing he was in smith films from dogma since him and damon stared in that together.

Good Will Hunting and Chasing Amy coming out the same year is what helped him. Hunting got him an Oscar, Amy proved he could be a leading man, since he hadn't been the leading man in anything before that.

Ben and Kevin have both said that without Kevin getting the script to the heads of Miramax it wouldn't have gone anywhere... so yeah i still say that Ben Affleck got alot of help in his career from Kevin Smith...
