Please, someone tell me I was not the only one watching SNL tonight! What happened to tonight's musical guest, Ashlee Simpson, was just brutal, but very well-deserved! I got so mad when I could *very easily* tell that she was lip-synching her first performance, "Pieces of Me", but right after the host, Jude Law, presented her second performance, her lip-synching track started playing "Pieces of Me" again. The band, confused, just went with it while the voice track played, with the microphone down at Ashlee's side! By then, I couldn't help but laugh. She freaked out, started dancing while the voice track was cut & then ran off-stage. They had to fill the time with some crappy sketch about bears acting like real people. That's what you get when you lip-synch, Ashlee. It's the Milli Vanilli of the new millenium!  |

haha...I wish I saw that. That is seriously the only funny thing SNL has had on their show in like 3 years.

I saw the bears when i was channel surfing so i guess i just missed it...
But yea im glad that happended to her althrough its not gonna make a diff in her rep. People dont like her for her talent. Its pretty sad that musicans (althrough she doesnt deserve to be called that) arnet doing ANYTHING. Other people write the lyrics, a hired band does the music, they record and fix it with 20 million to make it perfect and then just play the recording live rather than do anything. Its so stupid! Music is just branding now, its selling sex and mainstream ideology (member in Farenheit 9/11 where Britney Spears says "i think we should all just listen to our president and not ask questions" lol )its not about creating an experience. Its pretty sad...

I think the only reason anyone can like her music is because she has a talented production team that can make it poppy / catchy/ radio friendly. I mean she lip synchs unless she is in the studio anyway.

yeah.... i suppose thats been proven to be true (though i bet alot of singers do) she's got nothing on amy lee, shirley manson, or christina aguilera as far as singing and such goes but i still like her voice and the music with it at times... i understand you not liking it though. i don't ever plan on seeing her live... i tend not to want to see pop stars live(unless its on dvd) even if i do like them sooo yeah.
