I saw this one in the video store the other day and had to pick it up, even though it was $22 (my cap is usually $15). I always remember going to the mom and pop rental place as a kid and loving the VHS cover art. Somehow, I always managed to forget how mediocre a movie it is. After being suckered into renting this movie at least 3 times, I was finally suckered into buying the DVD.
This movie is somewhat famous or being shot on the other side of the lake at the same time the original F13 was being filmed. I am glad they have that to fall back on, because the rest of the movie is very forgettable.
The plot revolves around a backwoods family consisting of a 50 year old hag, and her two redneck sons. They manage to kidnap 3 coeds and nastiness ensues. The movie is very derivative of other horrors like Last House on the left, Hills Have Eyes, TCM, I Spit on Your Grave, and others.
My advice on this movie is: Buy the damn thing, keep the box, and throw the DVD in the dumpster.
